About allied health professionals sponsorship in the UK
Allied health professions (AHPs) cover 14 distinct roles registered with the HCPC. Most are eligible for the Health and Care Worker visa — no NHS surcharge, reduced fees, and Band 5+ NHS pay clears the salary threshold.
HCPC registration is required before clinical work begins. Overseas-trained AHPs have their qualifications individually assessed; some routes (e.g. EEA physiotherapy) are faster than others.
